The Chevrolet Corvette C3, launched in 1968, is one of the most iconic American muscle cars, known for its aggressive styling and powerful V8 engines. This first-year model has all the charm of a true classic and is a great example of the legendary « Shark » generation. This particular Corvette was built in April 1968 at the original St. Louis factory in Missouri, making it one of the early and original C3s. It is a matching numbers model, which adds to its collectibility and authenticity. Finished in its original striking Le Mans Blue (code 976) with a black leather interior, this Corvette was first delivered in the United States. This exclusive color was only available for the 1968 model year, making it particularly sought-after by collectors. It takes its name from the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, reinforcing the car?s sporting and prestigious image. The deep, vibrant metallic blue is highly distinctive and accentuates the sculpted curves of the C3 beautifully. The car was owned by a U.S. citizen and was imported to Germany after having gone through a full restoration, including repainting in its original Le Mans Blue. Numerous key components were replaced during the restoration, including the suspension, brakes, dampers, engine alternator, and air conditioning compressor. It was later rated 2+ during an expert appraisal in 2015 by German specialists. Documentation includes multiple TÜV and inspection reports confirming the excellent condition of the vehicle.
